After you press send

Your request is saved and passed to one local restoration company. The company then reaches you on the phone number you gave, or by email if you asked for that. It will want to see the damage before it prices anything, and the price and the contract are its own.

This page doesn’t promise a time, because the site can’t keep one. The company sets its own schedule.

Is there a phone number?

This site has no phone number yet. Right now the form is the only way to reach it, and it takes the same details a phone call would.

Once the site has a number, calls to it will reach voicemail, and nobody will pick up. A short recorded greeting warns that the call is recorded; after the tone you leave your message. The greeting says it first because California law bars recording a confidential call without the consent of everyone on it (Penal Code section 632).

Where requests are taken from

Serving Chula Vista and the South Bay: Chula Vista itself, Eastlake and Otay Ranch included, plus National City, Bonita and Imperial Beach. There is no office to visit.

Before anyone arrives

  1. Stop the water where you can. A leak under a sink or a toilet usually has its own quarter-turn valve on the wall behind it; if it doesn’t, the main shut-off for the house does the job.
  2. Take pictures of every wet room, wide and close, before you move or bin anything. Photos attached to the form help the company judge the job before it comes.
  3. If sewage came up through a drain, keep people and pets out of that room and leave the cleanup to someone equipped for it. The sewage cleanup page explains why.
  4. Tell your insurer early, and keep every receipt. What a policy pays for is set out on the cost page, and condo owners should read who pays in a California condo first.

If anyone is hurt, or water is reaching the electrical panel, that is a job for 911 before any of this.
